Shrek Movies You Can’t Miss
Shrek Movies You Can’t Miss: Hey there! You haven’t seen one of the greatest animated films ever made if you haven’t seen the Shrek films. These movies are rib-cracking, touching, and best suited for this occasion of a movie night. The following Shrek movies are the ones that are absolutely must-sees.
Shrek (2001)
The first movie, Shrek, focuses on an ogre christened Shrek who only deems it necessary to lead a quiet life in his swamp. Staring Mike Myers, Shrek is an ogre who has his life disrupted when fairy tale creatures that have been evicted by the wicked Lord Farquaad move in.
For their removal, Shrek makes a deal where he will wake a lovely princess, Fiona, who is in a tower that has been sieged by a dragon. He partners with Donkey, a crazy-talking donkey performed by Eddie Murphy and the two embark on an adventure, respectively.
After watching this film, I can declare without a doubt that it is one of the most amusing films I have ever seen. Yes, it does That triggers a lot of feeling. For your information, it also got an Oscar in the award’s best animated feature film category!
Shrek 2 (2004)
In Shrek 2, Fiona and Shrek visit her parents’ house in the realm of Far Far Away. The funniest scene is when her parents come to see her and Shrek for the first time and are surprised their daughter married an ogre.
We also get to know Puss in Boots, a witty cat with a sword, Anthony Banderas provides the voice to this character. In the film, Shrek attempts to conform to Fiona’s family expectations and society in general and, consequently, discovers self-acceptance.
Like the first one, this sequel is simply too fantastic, not to mention that it’s on my list of favorite films.
Shrek the Third (2007)
The plot of Shrek the third depicts Shrek’s attempt to avoid throne. And when King Harold finally get a disease and dies, Shrek is next in line for the kingship but he doesn’t want it. Thus, he sets out to find Fiona’s cousin, Artie who is the rightful owner of the land.
This is especially true when being a father seems to be the last thing that Shrek wants, so he must overcome his fears. It is brighter and has many jokes, as well as some new characters like Merlin the wizard.
Even though some people didn’t like this one as much, it’s still a fun watch with plenty of laughs.
Shrek Forever After (2010)
Just like the first one, this is one too good to be true, and to add to that – it is on my list of movies I like. Feeling the tiresomeness of being an outlaw and wanting to make a change to be a normal man Shrek uses the help of Rumpelstiltskin to get into the world where he never existed.
He has to repair even the smallest object to get life back on track and come to the realization of how fabulous life is. This movie brings the series to a great close with a good social lesson that is best stated as ‘count your blessings’.
Puss in Boots (2011)
‘Puss in Boots’ It is not a Shrek movie but has a connection to ‘Shrek 2’. The protagonist of the film is the talking cat Puss, whom we have seen in the movie. Despite not being from the series of Shrek films, it is a spin-off based on the talking cat. Antonio Banderas voices the character of Puss. Puss is accompanied by his best friend, a cat.
What is the best Shrek movie of all time?
To be more precise, with probably the majority of the viewers, “Shrek 2” is most definitely the preferred version. The only thing that is superior in the second movie is that it takes all that was good in the first movie and supercharges it with new characters, more developmental themes, and more laughs.
Nevertheless, the first Shrek has a nostalgic appeal behind it, as the film was the pioneer that initiated the development of this format or method.
Thus, when it comes to choosing the ‘best’ of the Shrek, the option may greatly depend on the specific taste, yet it will hardly go amiss with the choice of ‘Shrek’ and ‘Shrek 2’ that are both filled with a humorous undertone and interesting moments, as well as impressive scenes and dialogues.
What’s better, Shrek 1 or 2?
Which is better? It depends on what you value more. It depends on what you value more. If you would like to watch a new, unique story packed with breakthrough comedy and tender address, you may like Shrek movie (2001).
But if you like the continuation that opens the universe, develops characters’ relationships, and adds even more humor and great songs, Shrek 2 (2004) could be the best film. It is really difficult to choose between the two, or perhaps it can be said that since both movies are great, nothing could go wrong with watching any of the two.
Conclusion
These series of Shrek movies are great movies that no one should miss. It’s both funny and features some truly great characters, and its themes of friendship and personal identity are rather warm and wholesome. No matter whether you are watching them repeatedly or probably catching up, you are going to like them.
