This Thriller is a must watch if you are a fan of watching horror twists to movies with creatures of nature. This a Classic movie but did not do too well because of its similatrities to ‘Jaws’ which was shot of similar lines. Directed by Micheal Anderson, due to similarities but having a killer Whale does set it a bit apart. Only after you watch both of them that you can make out the differences in them.
The Plot
Once an aquarium worker Ken was attacked a killer shark, but an Orca intervenes & saves him. Citing this an Irish Canadian Fisherman Captain Nolan, decides to capture the Orca & sell it as it seemed more valuable. Captain Nolan is in the business of capturing marine animals & selling them off to pay for his mortgage & then eventually returning back to Ireland.
Richard Harris who plays Captain Nolan, accidentally harpoons the Orca’s female mate killing her, and brining her on board. She miscarries. Nolan pushes the dead fetus while the Orca watched it.
This angered the Orca, who decides to kill Nolan. The film revolves around revenge of the Orca.
